User Interviews & Key Insights
Through interviews with public users in Dubai, several critical issues were identified:
Accessibility Issues: The old website was complex and difficult to navigate.
Unclear Payment Process: Users struggled to complete transactions.
Website Fragmentation: The Department of Transport operated three separate websites, each with its own structure and branding.

Challenge
The DOT managed three separate websites, each representing a different department with distinct branding and services. The goal was to unify these platforms into a single website, while:
Consolidating all services in one place.
Maintaining the unique identity of each department.
Ensuring a seamless user experience
Solution
To address these challenges, I designed a smart tab-based navigation system:
A single website with three distinct tabs, each representing a department.
When users visit the homepage, they are prompted to select their department.
The website’s theme and color scheme dynamically adjust based on the selected department.
Users can seamlessly switch between departments using the tabbed navigation system.
This approach ensured a unified experience while preserving each department’s identity, making it intuitive and efficient for users.
